What IS the Urban League?
The Urban League is a non-profit organization that works to empower all members of the community in areas such as home ownership, health, workforce & economic development, entrepreneurship, training & the achievement of our youth. Established in 1910, the Urban League is the nation’s oldest and largest community based movement devoted to empowering African Americans and other minorities to enter the economic and social mainstream.

Members and supporters of the Urban League are the ones that enable to us to serve disadvantaged populations in our community. Members enjoy a variety of benefits just by joining the Urban League! Once you join, you will receive newsletters (?) and invitations to our events throughout the year. Most importantly, YOU will be making a difference in someone else’s life and in your community.

The basic joining fee for a 1-year membership is $25. If you join at the $35 or above level, you have the option to become part of one of our very active auxiliary groups: The Young Professionals or The Urban League Guild.
These groups hold monthly meetings, frequent social gatherings and make a difference in the community through their advocacy initiatives and community service projects. You can become as involved as you would like!
